Seek and ye shall find is never more true then when it comes to looking for something to photograph. I went for a lunchtime walk in order to blow the cobwebs away and get away from the office, not particularly looking to photograph anything. However, I have developed a habit of staring at hedgerows and roadside verges, which, just next to the industrial estate and by a major road, is where I found this solitary bee orchid.

I have never seen one before, and had never seen an orchid in Daventry, I guess this was my lucky day. I only had my compact camera on me, but still managed to get a good shot or two. As the scouts say, be prepared, always have a camera with you. (I will be going back with my macro lens if we get a dry, sunny day soon).
